Casey and I spent our last day working together after 5 years, 30 weeks and 1 day. Yes, I remember the exact place where I first saw him, I remember the day that I started-he was off that day, but the next day he worked with me, coming in at 10:30 after his morning classes at Deanza. Man that seems like such a long time ago. A lot has happened since then!
And now he is off to a new job, new career path and a better place where his talents can flourish and hopefully his hopes for his future are satisfied. It will definitely be tough over the next few weeks, getting used to a new schedule where he and I work at opposite times. But eventually all the details will be ironed out and we will be able to spend plenty of time together.
It just seems weird that we started out in a relationship where we worked together and were around each other A LOT. And we never got sick of one another. A lot of people say, oh don't work with your spouse or significant other....that can get ugly. We never found it that way! And when couples are in relationships they might not see each other as much in the beginning and then once they get married, they live together and see each other more often, so sometimes it can be difficult to deal with the change. But for us it's flip flopped, so we will see what happens! Time together will be that much more important and precious!
And onto wedding stuff.....
I finally have the first batch of invitations to send out....all the Canadian ones. Since they take longer to get to their destinations, we are sending them out now. And once I get the USA ones addressed, and sealed, those will probably go out early next week. I WISH I could send them all out right now, but it's already 11:00pm, I'm tired and I still have 10 or so more to do. So I will save those for Sunday after we get back from Pville.....
Yep...another trip to Pville.....for my DRESS FITTING!!!! Wheeeee!!!!! I haven't seen or tried my dress on for a few months, so I'm sure it will fit differently after my body has changed shape again. I just love putting it on though!!! So while I'm doing that with my mom, Casey and my dad will be golfing for sure.
